Chemotherapy and radiotherapy: impact on hair and scalp
As part of cancer treatment, chemotherapy and radiation therapy to the scalp can slow or even interrupt the activity of hair follicles and sebaceous glands. As a result, hair loss often occurs within a few days of starting treatment.

During this time, the scalp may become particularly dry, sensitive, or irritated. Once the treatments are completed, hair regrowth begins naturally. However, this new, still fragile hair may be more vulnerable to damage, particularly from coloring, perms, or certain harsh hair products.

It's important to note that hair loss and regrowth vary greatly from person to person. Each treatment is unique, just as each individual reacts differently.
